Match Structure & Core Progression
Every Anime Ability Arena server is an active free-for-all for up to 18 players on the mountainous island map. There are no quest NPCs, story missions, or task lists.
Yen is the progression currency and it is earned through PvP: landing hits adds to your balance during the match, while eliminations pay the biggest rewards.
The core loop repeats until you lose:
- Join a server and pick Goko as your starter.
- Land hits and eliminate opponents during the match.
- Collect Yen from combat participation and kills.
- Unlock the next character and test a fresh moveset.
Treat every fight as a chance to practice spacing, timing, and movement instead of rushing to unlock everything on day one.
Starter Rules & Practical Survival
Starting Option: Begin with Goko. Practice landing combos and distance estimation with basic M1 attacks before spending early Yen.
Dash Management (Q): Use Q solely for retreating or dodging heavy skills. Never dash into an opponent holding off-cooldown skills.
Perimeter Fighting: Avoid charging straight into clustered group fights where overlapping AoE damage will wipe out your health bar.
When you survive the early fight, watch how the strongest players move and copy their spacing before you commit to a higher-priced character.
